David Meyer :: Technologist

Hi!  Thanks for stopping by my site.  My name is David Meyer, and I am Technologist with a major IT solutions provider.  I live in work in Tampa, FL and have been in IT since 1992.

My background is quite varied, but I have a strong Linux and Unix background as well as data storage, virtualization, application perfromance management and systems management.  I’ve worked for some of the largest software companies in the world including CA (formerly Computer Associates) and Symantec.  Fortunately, I have found a great company with my current employer and plan to stay here a while.

You’ll find my resume (for reference purposes) and some of my favorite links, as well as my blog, which I will try to update at least weekly.  Most of it will be technology related material, but I’ll have some other stuff on there, as well as my open letter to those people who fly once a year, and insist on telling everyone on the plane about the horrible experiences they had getting to the plane, and blaming the airlines for all of their problems.  As a business traveler, I have very little sympathy (or paitence) for people like that.
